School Creek Estates
The Sutton City Council, Community Redevelopment Authority (CRA), and local developers have prepared 2 separate housing developments to help spur housing growth opportunities in the City of Sutton. The CRA first developed Horseshoe Bend in 1998 and more recently VanKirk Brothers Contracting developed School Creek Estates in 2001. Each development offers mid to large size lots available for new housing construction. Both Subdivisions are located in the north part of Sutton, very close to Sutton Public Schools, Hillcrest View Assisted Living, and the New Aquatic Facility.
The infastructure at both developments have been put in place and paid for by the developer. No additional assements will be made to the property owner.
In 2001, VanKirk Brothers Contracting created a second housing development in Sutton NE. The housing development aimed at providing acreages for interested parties. North of Horseshoe Bend Subdivision, School Creek Estates offers medium(1/2 acre) to large(1 acre) size building lots. All infrastructure has been placed in School Creek Estates and 12 lots remain for building development.
